    How come? We gain a bench player that is 35 but he only has 2 years on his contract and a pretty good center.

    Nope, we give up over $3 million in cap space this summer for what? Half man, half dead Vince Carter? This trade doesn't help us short term and it hurts us long term. Sounds like a lose:lose scenario to me.

    So, right back at ya - why the fuck would you do this trade? What could we possibly gain? Sure, I'd love to get rid of Nolan Smith, but I'd rather let him walk for nothing after the season than take back Vince and his two year contract.

    Oof. the only thing the Blazers should be looking for are expirings and draft picks. (assuming of course that nobody is looking to part with a franchise center for the dreck we've got to offer ... No? Yeah, didn't think so ...)

    There simply isn't a trade that makes sense for us right now because we really don't have much value to send out. Hickson would have tons of value if he had transferable bird rights..... but alas he does not.

    You couldn't pay me enough to root for a team with Vince Carter on it.

    Unless that team was playing the L*kers.

    As for the trade? Unlike Fez, I don't think you should be banned for suggesting it. I do, however, feel that you should be mocked mercilessly for a yet-to-be-determined period of time...

    As Freelands contract is going out the cap hit next year is actually only 300,000 not 3mil.

    I dunno, I'd consider this deal. Hicksons more productive than Kaman, especially on the boards where the Blazers need all the help they can get, but Carter is so much better than anything we have coming off the bench... probably a no, but by no means crazy.

    Yes. We get a real center and a legit scorer off the bench. We also get rid of Nolan Smith. Great deal.
