    Not as much as I would dig New Orleans retaining the "Jazz" name from Utah, and having Utah rename themselves... but it's still cool.

    The worst name in pro sports for a men's team is Bobcats, imo. Bobcats is a junior high girls badminton team.

    Pelican's is ok, and it does have local significance. I like the logo, if that is in fact it.

    Exactly. It's not fearsome, but it is representative of the New Orleans area. In another two or three years nobody will give this name a second thought.

    As far as the Blazers go

    I like the name trailblazers, its original and locally significant.

    I freaking love the pinwheel logo. Perhaps my favorite logo in all of sports.

    I fucking hate Blaze the cat. That was stupid when they introduced the mascot, and even dumber that they didn't realize it sucked and chuck the whole mascot thing.

    I agree, I was not saying anything about the Pelicans, just giving my two cents on our name/logo/mascot. As I said in an earlier post, I really like the name Pelicans.

    I don't have a strong opinion about the pinwheel either way.. I like it cause it's the Blazers logo. I'm not sure I would think it was cool if I was a fan of another team.
