Re: KAMLA'S just listing his predictions! All Star team not announced yet. yeah, not really worth making a whole new thread.
There were five and a half hours between his two pick posts and his "j/k not official!" Post. Fuck that guy for attention whoring.
are you surprised that little twat did that? Guy is the biggest wanna be anything on TV. I can't stand him.
I guess it's a sign of how dismal things have gotten if we're hoping an All-Star snub will make Aldridge play better. By the way, I think he's already playing pretty well this year. I like his improvement in rebounding and his play in the paint, which I think we have to thank Stotts for.
coaches are voting during blazers crash and burn. it would not be all that surprising if one of zebo/gasol/ibaka bumped LMA. what would be stupid is if the griz top vote getter (zebo or gasol) were bumped by a 6th guard. not gonna happen.
oops. I usually like Kamla but he killed me on this one. Sorry, everyone. Mods, feel free to delete/modify/close this thread.
I have a hard time seeing how you could argue LMA should get in over Lee. As far as the numbers, less than 1 ppg separates their scoring average, Lee does so on a significantly higher FG%, and is decidedly the better rebounder and assist man. Aldridge has a clear edge in bpg and is the better defender, but the difference isn't enough to top Lee's other advantages, especially now that Lee is on a pretty solid defensive team. Just on pure numbers, I think Lee still has the slight edge. Then you factor in that Portland is 1 game under .500 and GS is 10 games over .500. Team success is a big deal in all-star recognition. And just in case thats not enough for you guys, how about this tried and true PDX board argument-ender: Lee has a better PER. Therefore there is no possible way that Aldridge could ever be better. Ever. Click.
Re: KAMLA'S just listing his predictions! All Star team not announced yet. If people casually drop by and read thread titles, I wan the truth out there.
Hell, if team success is such a big deal, then why does he exclude both Memphis bigs in favor of two Warriors, especially with Randolph leading the league in double-doubles and ranking second in the league in RPG at the moment? Kamla's a clown with his "p-p-g" and "free-throwing." He makes it hard for me to watch NBA TV.
Kamla's just a hyper basketball nerd. I find him hilarious. So do his colleagues. Guys like Smitty and Brent Barry you can tell have respect for his opinion. I remember when NBATV first came around he was the resident fantasy guy.
Team success isn't the end all. But, when you have better numbers across the board and your team is better. You generally get the nod.
