http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives...complete_trade/<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Chicago Bulls today acquired center Martynas Andriuskevicius from the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for guard Eddie Basden.Martynas Andriuskevicius, a 7-2, 240-pound center, appeared in six games with the Cavaliers during his rookie season. He also appeared in 15 games with the Arkansas RimRockers of the NBA Development League and averaged 7.0 ppg and 4.2 rpg in 18.9 mpg. The 20-year old native of Kaunas, Lithuania was originally selected in the second round (44th overall) of NBA Draft 2005 by Orlando. He was then traded to Cleveland for a second-round pick and cash considerations on June 29, 2005.?Martynas is a young big that we view as a player who needs development with his strength and skill, but has the potential to make it in this league,? said Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations John Paxson. ?We are always looking for size and skill, and feel he is a young player that we are willing to take a strong look at.?</div>I'ver never even heard of those guys.
That Martynas guy was listed as a possible lotto pick couple years ago, sort of the way Pavel was. He's a project, Basden went undrafted last year, looks like he's going to have to work again to continue playing in the NBA.
here's some highlightshttp://www.ezekielbearsports.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=32939almost 4 mins worthhe looks like a classis D leaguer/project, all raw potential and no physique.
I don't understand Clevelands side of the deal. They need a backup center, so they trade their backup center for another guard?
This could be one of the most meaningless non draft pick trades of all time.unless Andriuskevicius turns out to be anywhere near his potential.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I don't understand Clevelands side of the deal. That guy's a project, and would probably be their NBDL candidate once again. Also, they need to cut down on the roster to make room for David Wesley and Pollard. Hence acquiring a guy they can easily waive.
lol im so sure^^ the bulls they dont need this trade they have good depth already for every positionlol im so sure^^ the bulls they dont need this trade they have good depth already for every position
yawn. WHO???? I doubt anyone will know who these guys are 1n 2 years - hell i dont think they know these guys in 6months.
The trade gives them a backup should Big Ben or Pj go down on injuries. I liked Badsen as a defender, but another big will help, even if hes NBDL material right now, although I still would like to see Luke S back too.
Podkolzin got waived by the Mavs and signed up with a team in Russia. Supposedly Mavs will an eye on him and will bring him order when he develops further along.
