Watching the Heat game and it's in OT right now, Amir fouls out and Casey goes with Gray instead of Davis...WHY!? Frustrating to watch when something like that.
I didn't watch the game but I've noticed a pattern of that idiot not playing Davis down the stretch. What exactly is gray better at than Davis? being slow?
Unless Davis is some kind of a problem and nobody outside the team knows about it, the way Casey uses him is frustrating as hell. Aaron Gray is awful. No reason Davis shouldn't be playing major minutes in crunch time. We have no other viable options.
Should be noted that until DeMar DeRozan decides that this is his team and grabs Alan Anderson by the neck, we're going to see more crunch time dynamics of Calderon-Anderson. Probably not the best way to go.
Should also be noted that Casey rode Amir Johnson all night who had a stomach flu. He played a sick Amir Johnson and a lousy Aaron Gray ahead of Davis in the fourth. THERE HAS TO BE A REASON FOR THIS WE AREN'T SEEING!
Demar hit a huge shot today against the Magic in the dying seconds, hopefully this gives him the confidence to take more control at the end of games. The raps were really looking to get it to Demar too.
I can understand using Gray against someone like Howard or Pekovic. But i can't think of a worse team to use Gray against than the Heat.
