There are quite a few more serviceable WAC's. I was trying to come up with the good ones that I could think of. Not that many of em.

Aha. Then he is a tweener. I don't like that he is getting American college training. Had he stayed in the Ukraine I would like him more, but he is off the do not draft list for sure. Thanks for the correction

So the argument for white centers are guys that played before most of our team was born, a guy that averaged 12/8 during his prime and a 1/2 white center. Ok, you got me

Wait a minute. Someone above noted that there were a lot of qualifiers. To which YOU said,
Do the centers that I listed meet the laughably simply qualifiers YOU posted, or not?

George Mikan (1946-56) To those who say Mikan wouldn't even make an NBA roster today, we say, "Of course. He died seven years ago!" But seriously, he should be judged by the standards of his era, which he dominated as much as Michael Jordan dominated his own. With his ambidextrous hook shot, the 6-foot-10 Mikan led the Minneapolis Lakers to the first NBA championship in 1950, then four more in the next five years. How good was he? The league widened the lane from six feet to 12 to keep him away from the rim. When he died, Shaquille O'Neal offered to pay for his funeral with this explanation: "Without number 99 (Mikan), there is no me."

If you don't feel the game has changed since the 70's then there is nothing to talk about.

People need to stop suggesting this.

As it stands, even if we are bad enough to have a 1st round pick this year we can't trade it.

The Steipen rule prevents teams from trading their pick if existing obligations even make it possible that they might not have a first rounder next year. If we keep our 2013 #1, then CHA has a potential claim on our 2014 #1, which means we can not trade our 2013 #1 unless we somehow acquire another #1 for 2013 or 2014.

Larry Bird, the logo, McHale, Sabas, and many other superstars would disagree

Ok, so don't answer the question, then. I'll answer for you. The centers I listed all meet your qualifiers.

My theory is right, as wrong as it may be to say out loud. Lopez' father is 100% Cuban, so enough already

Except for Brook Lopez, yes, they do. You guys are right. Let's keep drafting them every year until we find #7 in the long line of very good American born white centers in the 52 years of the league
