No doubt better but not sure I could say a lot better. Guaranteed 8th seed this year though I think. (I expect us to just miss it otherwise)

Except you know if we had Lee we would have no free agent dollars this summer right?

But we would still have max MLE; which is still around 6-8 million per. SO we could land a Billups, Jack or Reddick.

Max MLE will be on the lower-end of that number but regardless that would be enough for you to call it an off-season? Seems like a perennial first round and out team to me. I guess it is a start but I remember the continual first round losses with Roy on the team and it left a sour taste.

Also you are still asking either Lee or LMA to play Center. Probably LMA but he refuses.

Well I also remember we had 6 consecutive first and outs before we reached the WCF two years in a row. This draft is a low class and I would rather us lose our pick this season then next summer when the draft class is much better.

I not talking so much about losing our pick. I talking about Lee vs whatever Max Free Agent or magic trade we can come up with this summer.

Wait what free agent do you think would be better than a Lee right now? Don't say Howard because that's impossible.

I think it is going to be more of a lopsided (financially) trade honestly but the easy answer here is a true Center.

I don't think Pek is wroth Max however he puts up roughly as good of numbers as Lee and does play the position POR has said they are going after.

I like Lee but as I said he is only a glorified (yet very glorified) Hickson. Playing out of position for us.

meh I agree that a good center is a great need; but to be honest, you could just as easily use Lee to trade for a good center as well.

Hard with that contract of his and people don't just love to give away Centers if they are worth a dang.

a 19.2 PER +10 rebounds per game and almost 20ppg for 12 million? How is that hard?

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ahjase9

This one is a fine example of a team that would do this deal in a heartbeat.

Actually I doubt they would. PHX has been rumored to be in a rebuild. They are looking to slash payroll.

It isn't the problem of Lee's contract now. It is in 3 years. He is signed even longer than Aldridge and it goes over 15.5 MIL the last year.

Center is the hardest position in the NBA to fill. You don't give a competent one away especially when he barely makes over MLE. Great value on this contract. I could see if PHX was on the verge of a championship like OKC and needed a push over.

i think even if LMA makes it he would be the 12th man off the bench like last year, so although a nice honor it would not really be a tragedy for me if he doesn't make it.

Cause they had a homer coach play Westbrook and Durant like they were playing a playoff game.

I don't feel as good about LMA making it this year as I did last year.

A lot of big guys having better years than last. LMA hasn't dropped off (much) but he was essentially the last pick last year. Going to be tough.

Personally, I don't care if our players make the all-star game. I haven't watched it for years.

I just want our boys to remain healthy and be ready to kick ass after the all star break!

The biggest difference is there are no centers sucking a pick from voters. How many players are choosen anyway? 12?

    AMEN!!!!

btw brother... Did you know wheat grass shots are known to help the body fight toxins? Some theorize that it can help keep the body tuned to fight cancer too. Maybe a daily dose of wheat grass would help your dad.
