I agree. I think they will pull of some BS deal and people outside of the Lakers fan base will go nuts over it.
Two of his teams (one with Shaq, one with Pau) were among the three highest winning Lakers teams of all time. With 5 titles in 13 years it's not very convincing to try to portray him as a bad teammate. A dick, likely a rapist, a guy I enjoy watching fail, yes. But he really, really helps teams win, which is the ideal quality in a teammate. (Prepares to duck.) If Kobe were a life-long Blazer, he'd be the best Blazer ever. Also true for probably the majority of other teams. He just happens to be associated with a franchise that's had so many other all-time greats that it will always be debatable as to which of them was the greatest.
R.I.P. my ass, I want those scum suckers suffer. Buried up to their necks in G.G. Allin's heroin diarrhea, and forced to listen to Roger Nusic singing Celine Dion cover songs while being spoon fed live Snake River Sockeye Salmon soaked in Spotted Owl tears....
Not sure if I can go that far. But maybe. 5 rings with two completely different rosters. But you've got Jordan, Wilt, Shaq, Magic, Bird...so many great players. I'm never comfortable ranking an all-time great list.
I fucking hate Kobe but he's a proven winner. He had help but without them those titles are impossible to obtain. I put him just below Jordan as the greatest ever. Sorry but it's the truth.
I don't understand why they said one of the reasons Lillard didn't make the AS team is because we play in a time zone where the games end while people are asleep. People say this all team but THE LAKERS PLAY IN THE SAME TIME ZONE and no one ever holds that against them.
The current 8th seed (us) is at .500. Why will the 8th seed need 45 let alone 48 wins? It's true Incorrect. That team lost to the Spurs in the second round.
About not recognizing the obvious implication that the Lakers are the fucking Lakers so people watch them, while Portland is a shit-town somewhere near Alaska nobody gives two fucks about.
Dude, besides the undeniable fact that the Lakers have a very impressive NBA history, LA is the West Coast media capitol. So of course, they're going to have a lot more attention, and that rule about the time zone doesn't come into play for them.
Definitely true. But his point still stands. The argument that Portland is a West Coast team so nobody cares is invalid. Nobody cares about Portland because it's a small, self-satisfied fringe city filled with reefer, overpriced coffee and smelly Travis Outlaw jerseys that hasn't been out of the first round since the millennium. It's had unmarketable stars like z-bo, Aldridge and Roy, and the one big name guy since Pippen broke down as soon as he got off the plane. Lillard is changing that, but it is what it is for now. I like it, but I realize time zone has little to do with it getting little national attention.
