I came to this thread late and just read up. First off, great thread, lots of interesting perspectives and analysis.

Meyers reminds me of a young Bynum but with a sweeter stroke. He has the physical tools, size, strength and touch that is rare in a 7 footer, and like Bynum shows these flashes of putting it all together on the offensive end. But the game seems to move faster than his mind can follow, always rotating a second late.

But where I see a departure is on the defensive end, Meyers puts out full effort which not all bigs even come close to. Meyers screws up all the time, but that will come with time. If you have someone withe the physical tools and a good work ethic, and high motor, it's just a matter of time before the lessons start taking hold.

Leonard seems pretty athletic and I think he'll be a decent center. Not great, but good enough.

As to Joel, he actually had a very good jump hook and I saw him score 3 straight times with it. But for reasons I do not know, he was precluded from being a scoring option. Not that is was a "scorer", but with that hook and cleaning up the offensive boards he could have averaged 12-14 points had they let him.

Miller was undrafted though, wasn't he? This is about wasting a lottery pick on said center

Ya, I hate that people keep saying that. Leonard does foul a good deal, but his fouls PER 36 are no where near 6.

Wtf?! Who gives a shit? You said that we shouldnt get a white is born center. What difference does it make that brad miller wasn't a draft pick?!

i think he is still stuck on that

I wish we'd give Meyers more playing time. He's the only bench player that registers anything on the stat sheet.

This whole thing started when I was complaining about taking an American born white center in the lottery. Anywhere else is great.

So you are unhappy with our Meyers Leonard pick at 11? What player would you rather have that was still available?

I wanted Lamb too, but I'm pretty happy with Meyers. Both are years away from being who they will become. I bet both come out looking pretty darn nice.

he only made 60% of his dunks? thats not good man

i thought he would have a hard time getting minutes in houston, but he is BURIED in okc, i could see him breaking out a little at some point, but strictly as a scoring type

From 2. You know, that area before the 3pt line

His average was close to 60% iirc
