I can see the comparisons to Karl Malone in Blake Griffin. Flopping and whiny. He's got some classic LA prima donna-ism to him. But you know, I liked Karl Malone. I respected the hell out of his ability to produce for his team for a generation. And damn, Blake's dunks are Shawn Kemp in his prime. Just a crazy amount of size and athleticism. Never thought I'd see a current NBA player match LeBron in this category. Somebody post a youtube demonstrating what makes Blake so vile. Perhaps with a little visual mouthwash I can get the dazzle of his last two games out of my eyes.
I just looked up "PER" for players and I got floored with Durant and LJ. Durant has a 29.16 and LJ has a staggering 30.37!!!! They are fucking pwning right now!!!! Biggest surprise is Lopez at 25.41
Look no further than last night's game. Blake hugs Babbitt after period 2; then shoves him hard and walks away. Then second half, he tackles Hickson and throws him down (starring him down like a fucking bitch).
Crash and iggy have been my top two favorite non blazers for the last 4 years. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Duncan, Irving, Harden, Drummond, Millsap, Curry, Calderon, Holiday, Monroe, Gasol (Marc), FARIED, Sanders, Bledsoe, George, Patty Cakes, and Dragic.
I totally forgot about him. Yeah I love his motor. He reminds me of a Brain Grant, warrior type PF that does all the dirty work. He is pretty special. I can imagine all the teams that passed on him kicking themselves right now, including our team. Wow saw the video. That is pretty cool too!
I hate the person, but love the player. As for Jordan... We are in awe of these high 20's PERs from the current players. Jordan averaged a career PER of 27.9 (6 years with over a 29 PER); this with the NBA allowing guards to hold players defensively. I couldn't imagine the production of a prime Jordan in today's NBA. Now look at Kobe Bryant averaging a mere 23.5 PER throughout his career.
I don't share the Griffin admiration. I am not a fan of his game in total. The ceasless dunking is fun, sure. But, the rest leaves me cold. The stars that tend to get me rivited: LeBron. For years now. He is the biggest freak to play in the NBA. Never been anything like it. And I like his game a lot. Plays defense. (over)willing passer. Things Melo is not. That's why I like to watch him, despite his weird personality (but, wouldn't you be weird with his history?) Kevin Durant. Best scorer in the game. A pleasure to watch. Sorry. It's the painful truth. Can't deny. James Harden. Look, Brandon Roy grew a beard! Chris Paul. I still cry. The Spurs. How are they still good? I am watching to try to find the secret.
Did you know that LJ is averaging close to Jordan's per throughout his career? Also he has the same usage too
