This may suprise some people but i would have to say chad johnson, he is a great WR and instead of moss and TO i think johnson is just getting better
Torry Holt and Steve Smith are in this discussion. I am going with Steve Smith, because he's super quick and broke out last year. He won't slow down this year, especially with everyone picking the Panthers to win it all.
I forgot all about steve smith, steve smith is the best WR in the NFL this would be my top 5 list1.Steve SMith2. chad johnson3. TOrry holt4. TO5. Randy moss
1. Steve Smith - watch out for this guy again this year, especially now that he has a good WR partner in Keyshawn Johnson. The Panthers will be scary barring any major injuries.2. Terrell Owens - on the field, he is the second best receiver in the league in my eyes... hell he might even be the best receiver in the league had he actually played the majority of last season.3. Chad Johnson - one of the most explosive and entertaining receivers in the league right now, the guy just has great hands and is fun to watch. I can't wait to see some of his TD celebrations this year, even with the new rules restricting celebrating TDs.4. Randy Moss - the guy is just great, but too bad he'll be on a bad team once again this season. Aaron Brooks just hasn't been working well with Moss, and it has shown this preseason. Moss is the biggest deep threat in the league, and he can make the grab in traffic too because of his height and explosive vertical leaping abilities.5. It's a tie between Marvin Harrison and Torry Holt in my eyes.
The best overall WR in the league, speed, size, tenacity, competiveness is TO...but his off the feild stuff brings him down a bit.The most talented WR is Randy Moss, the dudes a freak.Steve Smith is just unstoppable, for a little guy...And Marvin Harrison and Torry Holt are the definition of dependable, every down, every play, give it all WR's.Chad Jackson is moving up this list though...he has all the tools, but he's not there yet.You can't really nail this one down like you can with RB's...Every WR is good at something, and better than most at others. My list would be:1. TO - The best all around WR2. Steve Smith - There is no reason this guy should be putting up the numbers he is, in a run oriented offense, and with no viable second option at WR to play opposite him...he just does.3. Randy Moss - Noone can tell me they wouldn't want this guy jumping up for deep balls on their team.4. Chad Johnson - He's got all the tools, and all the talent...he's the next TO in my eye.5. Marvin Harrison/Torry Holt - These guys deserve to be on the list for their productivity, dependability, and longevity.
Steve Smith hands down. He may not be that big, but he has one of the best knacks for getting open and once he gets his hands on the ball, good luck catching him, because he has blazing speed too. On top of that he's a great punt/kick returner. He'd probably be the best if the Panthers gave him more oppertunities, but you can't blame them for not.As far as the rest go, I rank them like this...2. Chad Johnson3. TO4. Randy Moss (too bad he's stuck with a crappy QB now)5. Tory Holt/Marvin Harrison/Larry Fitzgerald/Anquan Boldin...can't decide
I'd put Boldin or Fitz as the 4th or 5th reciever(can't decide either). Probably Boldin. He missed a little less than 2 games and still got over 100 receptions, 1,400 yards and 7 TD's. If he wasn't injured those numbers would have went up. He's got good hands and is so strong he can get a lot of yards after the catch. I would have him at #4. Fitz is so good that I think soon he will pass Boldin and be a top 2 reciever in the league. He's so young and so great and Green has said that he still has some stuff to learn. Right now I'd put him as the 6th or 7th best but he's really close to the rest. Even with all the talent they have I think they will be overlooked individually with Edge there and having to share receptions with eachother and a Bryant Johnson who is finally starting to play well. And Leonard Pope also. He's a big and talented TE that will take away some red zone receptions.
