I think both are point gaurds playing the 2 guard position. Iverson has been to the finals, wade has a ring.Who is better.

I'll take Iverson in a heartbeat, although Wade is also a great player. Iverson transcended the game in many ways, something Wade probably won't do. He paved the way for guys like Wade and Arenas to be successful in this league. You don't see many "pure" point guards any more, rather you see point guards who can score at will (i.e. AI, Arenas, Wade, etc.), and AI was the first of the new generation of point guards. Not only that, but AI has a better career resume than Wade has. Obviously Wade still has many years left ahead of him, but right now I'll take Iverson over Wade career-wise... hell, I'd take Iverson over Wade with the way they're playing right now if only Iverson wasn't 31 years old.Yeah, Wade has something that Iverson doesn't... a ring. But look at the team he played on. He had the Diesel right there with him, and Shaq right now is better than ANY second option that Iverson ever had. Iverson single-handedly carried a team to the Finals... and in my mind that is just as astonishing as Wade winning his first ring this past season.Obviously everything can change, but my answer right now is "The Answer."

Of course Wade at some point I am I can change my mind, but Wade has not done all that Allen has yet. And same thing Wade had Shaq, Posey, Williams, ect for the ring. And if Iverson was there last year with Shaq and the crew he would have won the title also probably.

Iverson homers strike again. No doubt in my mind Wade is better. Wade just is more consistent and helps you in many categories. He is much stronger than Iverson which allows him to finish strong around the basket. Wade also can rebound and block shots which usually a big man does. This shows how athletic Wade is along with his speed. Wade takes higher percentage shots. He practically almost by himself won that series against Dallas. I definitely fear Wade.

I think they're basically the same player. Wade is just as good of a scorer. They both have great fire and competitiveness, and will to win. They've both had their share of big playoff performances. I'd take Wade, as he's younger and you could build around him more, but that was the only deciding factor. If I just had to take one guy for one game, straight up, I'd probably take Iverson. This one is too close to call for me.

Wade should not get respect like that until he done it for years like AI. That is my point AI has done it for year. Wade has a great playoffs run no dought I agree about that, but just that does not get you to be better then the future hall of famer.

Wade had a great run last year I am not saying anything against that, but until he has done it as long as AI has you just can't say he is better then a hall of famer being in the league only a few years that is all I am saying.

Tough comparison, very tough, but give me Wade. AI is a better socrer, but Wade is more efficient, much better playmaker, better rebounder, and a better defender. Both are very clutch players, and both have had lots of success. Whoever said they are the same player is right to a degree, but with Wade's bigger body and better court vision his skills are that much more amplified than AI's.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>And same thing Wade had Shaq, Posey, Williams, ect for the ring. It tooks the Heat 40PPG and some amazing 4th quarters by Wade through the 4 games they won for them to win the title. It isn't like he was the 2nd option or anything like Kobe was to Shaq, and they were playing a much better overall team in the Mavs.

So in that case Webber is better than Wade to. He's been in the league longer than Wade. I think that's a stupid argument if someone is in the league longer. I go by who is playing better right now and Wade is definitely the one that's playing better. Iverson might score a few more points but that is it. Did I mention numbers don't mean everything so I feel Wade owns the intangibles.

Wade is better right now. Wade is like top 3 calibur ai is slipping into the lower levels of the top 10 IMO. Not saying ai isnt and wasnt a great player but wade is just ridiculous. And the fact that he did it in the playoffs at such a young age is impressive to say the least.

GP is shooting under 40% for the season, Walker is under 30% from 3, Haslem hasn't been very good, etc... He didn't have as much firepower this season as AI had the past 2 years in Philly with Korver, Iggy, Webber, Green, and the others. AI dominates the ball more than Wade does, so for Wade to get 8APG is very, very impressive. Don't look at stats or who is around them, watch them play and you will see Wade is a much better playmaker.Against a VERY high powered Mavs offense, presence alone won't get it done. Wade HAD to single handedly carry his team for them to win. And you don't know what would have happenned if AI was on Miami last season so stop acting like you do.Just because AI has been doing it for 10 years doesn't mean he is better than Wade right now. If we are comparing careers and if we could induct either of them into the HoF then that is a different story, but we are comparing who is the better player right now. Wade is right up there with AI as a scorer, much better playmaker, better rebounder, better defender, and both are amazing in clutch and as leaders. Give me Wade.If you can say LeBron is as good as Kobe, why can't you do the same for AI/Wade? And Bron is NOT as good as Kobe and it has NOTHING to do with him being in the league longer.

I think AI is more talented, and the way he carries teams....or most teams, is incredible. Wade has shown he can be clutch like AI, but hes never carried a team a full season. This is irrelevent really, but Wade IMO is a more athletic version of AI...both have very similar styles.

Well, at this point in their careers, I think Wade is the better player. But, I find it hard to believe that Wade will have a better career statistically than Iverson has had. He is one of the best scorers in NBA history, he is a very underrated passer (he always racks up a good number of assists), and he has carried the face of the 76'ers franchise for as long as I can remember. Now having said that, Wade is an incredible player who right now, is more gifted than Iverson. He has shown that he can "somewhat" carry a team on his back and Iverson simply cant do that like he used to. Also, Wade already has a ring under his belt which im afraid that Iverson will probably never accomplish. So, Wade is a better player right now, Iverson will have the better statistical career, and Wade will have the more successful career.

Wade will never take as many shots as Iverson did because taking a lot of shots is not the formula to team success. You got to get your teammates involved and without the right amount of shots they might not get in a rhythm. When Wade does scores a lot he is usually really efficient.

But AI has been doing this for years. Don't say Wade is better then AI when he has not done this for as long as AI has.And Iverson is playing just as good if not better then Wade man. And don't for get that is at 31 when he should have slowed down.
