<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Nitro1118 @ Jan 17 2007, 03:47 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>He is averaging a career high in assists this year without Shaq, without JWill for most of the season, with Walker/Posey in and out, etc... GP is shooting under 40% for the season, Walker is under 30% from 3, Haslem hasn't been very good, etc... He didn't have as much firepower this season as AI had the past 2 years in Philly with Korver, Iggy, Webber, Green, and the others. AI dominates the ball more than Wade does, so for Wade to get 8APG is very, very impressive. Don't look at stats or who is around them, watch them play and you will see Wade is a much better playmaker. Now as much fire power as AI are you freakin kidding me? Korver when he is hot okay, but this guy does not play D at all. Iggy way to inconsistent. Webber inconsistent with his stupid jumpers. And Green not consistent. I am a Sixers season ticket holder not sure what you been watching. And I am not saying Wade is not doing great he is. But AI even at his age now is just as good.Against a VERY high powered Mavs offense, presence alone won't get it done. Wade HAD to single handedly carry his team for them to win. And you don't know what would have happenned if AI was on Miami last season so stop acting like you do.Listen I don't know what would have happened but stop acting like it was all Wade. Shaq presence, and other guys known for what they can do made the guys pay attention to those others even when they were having of nights.Just because AI has been doing it for 10 years doesn't mean he is better than Wade right now. If we are comparing careers and if we could induct either of them into the HoF then that is a different story, but we are comparing who is the better player right now. Wade is right up there with AI as a scorer, much better playmaker, better rebounder, better defender, and both are amazing in clutch and as leaders. Give me Wade.Only thing AI is clearly better then is D. Rebounding AI is much shorter even then Wade. And even now AI is doing just as good as Wade. AI is doing this at 31 will see what Wade will be doing at 31.If you can say LeBron is as good as Kobe, why can't you do the same for AI/Wade? And Bron is NOT as good as Kobe and it has NOTHING to do with him being in the league longer.</div>And I did say right now Wade is as good as AI. But not really BETTER like some make it seem. And Bron is just as good as Kobe or maybe you missed the 30/7/7 average thru the whole last season he should have been the MVP followed close by Kobe last year. Name me players who have averaged 30/7/7 pretty much?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Memphis Fan @ Jan 17 2007, 03:56 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I think AI is more talented, and the way he carries teams....or most teams, is incredible. Wade has shown he can be clutch like AI, but hes never carried a team a full season. This is irrelevent really, but Wade IMO is a more athletic version of AI...both have very similar styles.</div>Exactly what I was trying to say. And even now you can't say clearly Wade is better he is just as good as AI now, but can't say clearly better. And have you seen some of AI's dunk before when he was younger? The little man could get up. That huge dunk on Camby was amazing.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ballerman2112 @ Jan 17 2007, 04:12 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Well, at this point in their careers, I think Wade is the better player. But, I find it hard to believe that Wade will have a better career statistically than Iverson has had. He is one of the best scorers in NBA history, he is a very underrated passer (he always racks up a good number of assists), and he has carried the face of the 76'ers franchise for as long as I can remember. Now having said that, Wade is an incredible player who right now, is more gifted than Iverson. He has shown that he can "somewhat" carry a team on his back and Iverson simply cant do that like he used to. Also, Wade already has a ring under his belt which im afraid that Iverson will probably never accomplish. So, Wade is a better player right now, Iverson will have the better statistical career, and Wade will have the more successful career.</div>I still think right now they are pretty much =. The rest I pretty much agree on with you. But I still think AI can get a ring. And Iverson can still carry a team he has just been trying to fit in better, and I say to early he should have kept doing what he did until Melo returned. But instead he passed to those damn bench players who are worse then the Sixers. I mean people who saw some games know what I am talking about how many open lay ups have those guys missed when AI got them the ball. But Yeah the rest I agree don't know if Wade will have the same #'s as AI when his career is done, but he can I think not sure if he will though he deff can though.Ow and true AI is a very underrated passer. Also (Dmoney) you did not get my point as well nvm.

Name how many months Bron has put up over 40PPG? Never, while Kobe did it twice just last year. How many clutch moments has Bron shined in? Very, very few, while Kobe is 2nd I believe on the list of most game winning shots (not to mention all of the clutch 4th quarters, locking down superstars like he did Wade, etc...). Speaking of defense, how many all-defensive teams has Bron been on? 0. How many has Kobe? Quite a few, including a few 1st teamm all-defense.Just because Bron has impressive averages doesn't mean he is the best player in the league, there is a lot more to the game than numbers.

But Lebron put up everything not just the 30 PPG, but assists, and rebounds also. Lebron should have won the MVP last year, and Kobe a close 2nd they both deserved it.
Iverson has had a better career so far, because if Iverson ever had Shaq (even though he wasnt the shaq in his prime) Iverson would have won at least 1 championship. I rather have Wade right now, because he's younger, and probably better at this stage overall, but Iverson is still a hell of a player, and has had a better career to this point.

I was saying if my team was rebuilding I would take Wade of course much younger more years left. But if my team was ready to win a title I would take Iverson now.

And I know Kobe is way better on D then Lebron I am not saying he is not that be stupid if I said that.Yeah last year I thought it should have been Lebron/Kobe 1, and 2. They both deserved it I just thought Lebron had the edge. And Dirk had a MVP season also. Last year there was about 7 players really who you could really say could have won a MVP. But record comes into play, and takes some guys out of the racing. Like AI last year finished 10th in voting I think I ranked him 7th in voting last year. But if the team was actually aight, and made the playoffs he could have finished as high as 5th in voting cause he had his best season in his career at 30 year old amazing.I don't know I am still mad about Nash winning the last 2 years even more last year.
A good way to tell who is better is when they aren't playing how the team plays. The Heat look horrible without Wade but are very solid with Wade (even without Shaq). Denver though has done better before Iverson and Philly is doing better than expected. Stuff like this mean a lot in how much one players value to the team is. Iverson has never been that great in +/- stats because he usually shoots a low percentage.

And how many games did Denver play with out AI actually when guys were suspended so you can't really have a good feal there. And Sixers won a few, but they were riding a high again Denver they felt they had to proov they can play with out AI. I mean the KNicks last year even had a small win streak I am sure at some point. lolAnd Yeah AI did not shoot a high %, but last few years it was getting better last year I think was up to 44.7%.And I was not AI this year really I was talking about last year in my past post him finishing 10th, and how I ranled him 7th, and if the team made the playoffs he would have had a shot st like 5th. I said nothing about this year. But right now you gotta admit AI has less of a chance with Denvers bench then with the Sixers bench I mean Diawara for god sakes was starting. I until JR got back, and like 2-3 games Camby played before JR was back AI had no one really to help out at all night in a out even though Boykins came into that role and did good.
