That's a stretch. Roy took a team of misfits to 54 wins when he was at his physical peak, and was the only All-Star on that team.

Kevin Love doesn't make his teammates better.

Stephon Marbury didn't make his teammates better.

Brandon Roy helped make some very average, and even below average, NBA players into a playoff squad.

What's the record for most teams to simultaneously be paid by to not play for?

 

I remember DA was once triple dipping. The Blazers amnestied him, then he signed a 2-year deal with Miami, who then cut him and he signed with Charlotte. For at least one season (maybe more, I don't remember the exact details), he was being paid by all three teams simultaneously.
