I think he means the top list should be, and the bottom list shouldn't...

You misread. or more likely I poorly typed.

Weinberg. Lucas, Drexler, Porter, Walton, Petrie, Ramsay all SHOULD be retired. The others should not

POR needs a ring of honor like some football teams do. Just oh, so close but not retirement material.

To be honest though if they could move some of the guys they did retire to the ring of honor then I would have no problem with Roy getting a real retirement. (Won't happen of course)

So you voted that if someone makes a mistake, others should just keep repeating it?

On the bigger picture; I wish we only had 2 jerseys retired here: Walton and Drexler. All the rest are honorable mention or ring of fame guys. But that's why Portland is a special place!!!!

Nope. I'd retire every one of those guys before Roy, and I wouldn't retire any of those guys either.

Back to a respectable franchise, one that the fans could actually get behind. In the city of Portland it's more than just wins and losses.

    Bingo.

I'd have no problem with that.

The obvious solution is to move to a three digit jersey numbering system. After we finish congratulating ourselves for retiring every player to ever wear a jersey, living or dead, we could then start to address the highly under-recognized waiting and janitorial staff at the Rose Garden.

I'd also like to see us retire the neighborhood of Sellwood. It's a very lovely neighborhood and deserves a jersey.

Yes. Numbers are out of date anyway, players should have bar codes. That way, when the NBA starts to allow product advertising on the jerseys it will make more sense.

Ideally only Walton and Clyde (and maybe Lucas and Porter?) should have their numbers retired. Just because the bar was set ridiculously low thirty odd years ago, doesn't mean that same low standard should be kept in place.

Brandon was a fine player and if he'd managed to stay healthy for another 7 or 8 years I have no doubt that he would have been right up there with Clyde and Bill, but he couldn't, so he shouldn't.

Absolutely. In this case it's not about what where he ranks statistically all time. It's about how he impacted not only the team but the entire city. Stand up guy and an all nba player until things out of his control took over

Hydrogen is also the most important atom in the universe. It's the building block of stars and all other matter, including Brandon Roy's miniscus. Let's retire hydrogen.
