I am sold on Love, but he's not quite enough to really make us dynasty material. If the Heat put LeBron on Rose and keep him from reliably being able to pass the ball to Love in good position, we're going to have a tough go of it.
Love would get booed out of town because he plays defense about as good as Boozer. If Thibs would actually play Belinelli at SG, we'd have a 2nd guy who can dribble the ball against even modest pressure. He's not starting him or playing him starter's minutes now, though.
The article doesn't exactly make sense. It starts by talking about Deng as a trade chip, but then we end up keeping Deng and sending out Butler? I think Love would have a hard time keeping up with Derrick or Joakim. That's my superficial take on this deal.
The only way to make a deal work is to send out a big contract like Deng's. Love makes like $13M in salary. In fact, I don't see any real scenario where the Bulls and Minny make a deal. Deng for Love straight up doesn't work, even though their salaries are within $300K of each other. Bulls on the apron. Taj's contract is PPP, good luck trying to include that in a deal with Butler.
Mmh...right. Didn't noticed that... So that isn't really a hot rumor. More some speculations...isn't it? So other people made speculations about LeBron coming to Chicago 2014.
Minny might go for Mirotic, Deng, and picks. The deal would have to be tweaked by adding someone like Nazr to make the salaries work. The problem is we have to have a minimum of 12 players on the roster (I think 12). So going 2-for-1 and staying so close to the apron we can't sign anyone to fill the roster is why I don't see a deal.
