Bobby Green, Isaac Valley-Flagg, and Tyron Woodley won their UFC debuts this weekend, all beating established pros. Green was able to overcome Jacob Volkmann's smothering top control and a peculiar stand-up by referee Kim Winslow and accomplish a rear naked choke submission win in the third round. Isaac Valley-Flagg went toe-to-toe with a vastly more experienced striker in Yves Edwards and held his own, landing better strikes and taking a well-deserved albeit split decision over the veteran. Finally, Tyron Woodley's performance was the most impressive. The former title contender starched Jay Heiron with a 36-second knockout. Woodley was a late replacement for Erick Silva.
DFW recently confirmed that all of the Strikeforce fighters the UFC wanted have signed, with the exception of Barnett.
