South Carolina State basketball coach Tim Carter has resigned after six seasons. The school said Carter was leaving immediately and associate head coach Murray Garvin would take over the struggling Bulldogs (4-17, 0-8 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who have lost their past 14 games. South Carolina State has lost 24 consecutive conference games.
