Michigan State ignored the injuries and the foul trouble Saturday. Branden Dawson, Keith Appling and Derrick Nix refused to let the surging Spartans get slowed down by a couple of big hurdles. Dawson scored 20 points in another trip back to his home state, while Appling and Nix each finished with 17 points to lead No. 12 Michigan State past Purdue 78-65.
