Something like Rip and Belinelli gets Orlando 2 expiring contracts. We'd have to throw in a draft pick, like the Bobcats one. I don't see a reason for Orlando to give up JJ's expiring $6M deal without the pick. I don't see why the Bulls do it because they can't afford to re-sign him going forward. He's going to get Taj money, at least. The guy can score, no doubt. You'll probably realize Boozer is a good defender after seeing JJ play. The silly thing is that Belinelli may be just as good or even better. And you see how Thibs plays him.
As many will recall, Redick's expiring 3-year deal was based on the offer sheet he signed with the Bulls during the free agent extravaganza summer of 2010. So while it may be only a rumor that the Bulls are interested in Redick now, it's a fact that the Bulls front office was very high on Redick a few years ago. Redick has steadily become a better and better scorer. This season he's at 17.3 points per-36 minutes. He's a career 40% 3-point shooter, and while this isn't much better than Hinrich, Redick shoots the 3 with about twice the frequency as Cap'n Kirk. Redick's a legit outside threat. As Denny stated, Redick's defense is a concern. Redick's listed as 6-4 which is marginal for a SG, but he plays even smaller than that primarily because he's one of the very few NBA players whose height is greater than his "wingspan" (6-3.25). I'm not a Redick fan and if Denny's right that Redick's pricetag after this season is ~$8mil/season, I have zero interest. Plainly and simply, IMO Redick ain't near that good.
