Apparently the team measured him at 6'7 5/8" w/o shoes, does he really deserve to get this much hate when he's trying to guard centers every night at his height? Neil is waiting too long to deal him. His 'D' at the center position is really hurting his value both on the trade market and his next contract.
Hickson gets no hate. He has sucked at defense his entire career. It makes no difference which position he plays
He also isn't all that great on offense; sure he can score a bit, but he's not good at running plays (getting into position, moving out of a shooter's way, running the pick and pop/pick and roll, etc.). Maybe other GMs aren't interested in what Neil is selling because there isn't a whole ton to be interested in.
He has great hands. He doesn't bobble the ball every time he touches it like Aldridge. He makes contested layups, while Aldridge and Batum shrink in fear. Then someone here says that those two are so much better than Hickson at passing the ball out from the middle. In other words, they're better at being shrinking violets.
Chuck Hayes wants to know what Hickson's excuse is again. Its has nothing to do with being undersized and everything to do with watching the ball and not putting forth effort.
