Kobe Knows Lakers Need More Scoring From Howard

    Dwight Howard had scored in single digits in six of his previous nine games before Sunday's Los Angeles Lakers loss to the Miami Heat, averaging only 7.7 shots in that stretch.

    Kobe Bryant understands the Lakers need more offensive production out of Howard, who should be the No. 2 option on most nights.

    "I mean, we could obviously get more," Bryant said. "He's had games where he's had 25 points and 17 rebounds and so forth and you'd like to see that more consistently."

    Howard, however, did not want to talk about his shots -- or lack thereof -- after scoring 15 points on nine field-goal attempts Sunday.
