Well since I won it this year; it's subjected for this year's return. So I guess you pay for it next april?
They make you fill out a form for anything about $5k. So its best to break up the chips if you're on the table to smaller amounts and then cash them out in bunches. On these kind of wins, you can't avoid that though.

So I wanted to share what I did with my winnings. My sister was having money issues the last 2 years. I decided to give her $5,000 to help her get back on her feet. My sons best friend lives with his grandma. His grandma's boyfriend, that paid all the bills and provided income, just died and he had no will. Problem is she is not the beneficiary of his assets. She has to try and go through probate to get his funds and retirement. I gave her $2,000 to help her and didn't ask for payment. I am saving the last of the money to pay off lanny for the tickets I bought from him.
