ATL has so much money that they have to (and want to) spend on someone. They will max out Smith unless they can get Howard to come home.

Atlanta seems to get the worst of the deal, but they don't get completely hosed. I don't know, it seems somewhat reasonable, but a 4 team trade with that many "names" moving around seems awfully tough to orchestrate.

Ya but the Blazers are looking for a young up and coming SG.

Not bad. Any imbalance could be adjusted with small pieces. The basic deal does look reasonable.

I'm not sure how I feel about Lopez and his lack of strong rebounding though. He is big and would draw attention in the post.

I'd like this, but I know barely more than a homer.

I struggle to see LA trading Dwight for Josh Smith straight up. And if they were to, I think Atlanta would take their chances of Dwight sticking around. Only other place he'd likely be able to go to is Dallas in that case. You'd have cap space to put people around him, and have a Dwight/Horford front court. I think Brooklyn and Portland get cut out.

I also think LA is going to try to roll the dice and hold onto Dwight until the summer to see if they can re-sign him.

I think the deal works better without the Blazers. The other teams are dealing legit max contract guys. By comparison we're sending out a pile of scraps.

Atlanta has been on imaginary cap space 2k13 for a reason, and its not so they could have JJ Hickson, Wes Matthews and Meyers Leonard.

So since Brook is only a half white american born center...does that mean he only sucks half the time, or does he only gets hurt half the time?

    I like it for Brooklyn.
And it would be fun to see Kobe and Smith on the same team. They would kill one another.

    Here's is the breakdown problems:

    1. Lakers: Josh Smith is not a franchise player nor will he put the team over the top. They are better keeping Howard. He wants a max contract and they want to save cap space for a Durant/LeBron run.
    2. Nets: Works for them. Howard wants to be there badly and vice versa. They actually give up less than they would have to Orlando.
    3. Hawks: They've been saving this cap room for 2 max contracts and this fucks that plan.
    4. Blazers: Works for Portland. Give little, get huge returns for their needs.

I don't like it. I'm not a Lopez fan and I think Leonard will be a better player in the long run. Another thought... for a team that must increase the quantity of talented players, we'd be going backwards.
