Does anyone else find it funny Pope Benedict pretty much gave the standard two-week notice? On a serious note, I applaud his decision if he believes he is putting the good of the Church before himself. Future popes should follow his lead when they become too frail to carry out the duties of the papacy.
I wonder if he waited until after he cashed his bonus check? For most that would be about 10 years before they are crowned pope.
I'm calling it now, put your money on Cardinal Marc Ouellet. He's old, conservative and non controversial. Lock of the century for the next pope.
