This has to stop. He passes up WIDE OPEN lanes and shots. In short, he's a much worse player in this role.
Good god, give him time to feel it out. Stotts has taken the cuffs off so he's experiencing basketball without Nate McMillan for the first time. He's already had two trip dubs this season, right? And almost three or four? That's NOT a bad thing, especially with how Lillard usually shoots. I don't care if he passes up some shots, that will change with time.
He needs a midrange game badly since his handles aren't getting any better. Without either of those, he can't get the separation to score consistently at a high level.
His wrist is fucked up. It's pretty clear. He can't handle the ball well, doesn't feel confident shooting and won't even stick his hand in on D like normal. Patience, he'll be back.
Let's see how a week off at the all-star break effects his wrist. In the meantime, yeah it'd be nice to see him be more aggressive with his shot, but I don't think he's passing up shots because he's afraid to shoot, I think he feels like he can't really shoot right now.
My bad....... I thought his wrist was injured. Seems like he was having a really good season, but since he hurt it, his numbers have just gone downhill.
