The St. Louis Rams plan to hire Tim Walton as their new defensive coordinator, league sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Walton will come to the Rams after serving as the Lions' defensive backs coach since 2009. The Rams tried to hire Walton as a defensive assistant last season before be opted to stay with the Lions.
