Yawn. I think the guy likes to hear himself talk. He's made these speeches into an hour and a half type deals. Just an observation, and this is not a swipe at the man... I honestly don't remember him making a "memorable" speech. "No new taxes" was memorable. "Shining city on a hill" was memorable. "We have nothing to offer but fear itself" was memorable. Etc.
Every State of the Union speech by every president is the same - "energy independence!" "the state of the union is strong" blah blah blah.
Pink Martini's Thomas Lauderdale sat next to Ted Nugent at the State of the Union http://www.oregonlive.com/music/ind...is_thomas_lauderdal.html#incart_river_default That is sooo funny. I've been chuckling about this for a couple of mins now.
Four score and seven years ago was memorable. We hold these truths was memorable. The only good Injun is a dead Injun was memorable.
Denny, I hope I'm not hijacking the thread, but you did a couple of times when we were talking about one of your favorite interests, so here is the latest on that hobby of yours. http://m.guardiannews.com/environment/2013/feb/12/horsemeat-scandal-european-regulation-changes
Rubio blows too, we have the internet now so there's no need to worry over which of these amateurs is right. They need to can the pony show State of the Union.
State of the Union Seating Planners Troll Ted Nugent, Put Him Next to Gay Civil Rights Activist from Portland After all that brouhaha over Ted Nugent — you know, the guy who threatened to kill President Obama — getting invited to the State of the Union by Rep. Steve Stockman (R-TX), the hard-talking, pants-shitting rocker was seldom seen throughout the evening. But the one photo of Nugent that did make the rounds was publicized not from Stockman's camp, but rather from that of Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-OR), the congressman who invited Nugent's seatmate — Portland musician Thomas Lauderdale. Lauderdale, best known for founding the "little orchestra" known as Pink Martini, is the anti-Ted Nugent: A liberal, Occupy-Movement-supporting, openly gay civil rights activist who favors gun control and loves classical music. http://gawker.com/5983929/state-of-...xt-to-gay-civil-rights-activist-from-portland
when the big story is Ted, and the water bottle..kinda says it all. fucking press has gone from watch dog of the people to the lap dog of the king.
...A liberal, Occupy-Movement-supporting, openly gay civil rights activist who favors gun control... LOL. If you favor gutting the Second Amendment you are neither liberal nor a civil-rights activist.
ok so I read two pages of sories, I get the king did not demend enough for his special interest groups..bad GOP, and the water bottle..hmmmm,what am I missing?
They were talking about the water bottle thing on sports radio (SPORTS RADIO!@!) in Seattle today. Was it really that noteworthy? I missed the whole shebang, sitting watching my son's swim lesson. That seems to be the only thing worth trying to catch lol
