I don't really watch many current shows, since all I watch are sports and movies. I do catch up with things On Demand, though.

    Mad Men
Breaking Bad (did watch the last season live on AMC after buying the previous season on DVD)
Sons of Anarchy (watched the last season live after catching up on Netflix)
    Louie
    Arrested Development
    Lost
    Walking Dead
    The League
    It's Always Sunny
The Wire (only show I was actually a bit sad ended it's run with a finale, and my favorite TV show of all time)
    Family Guy
    Simpsons (prior to about 2002)

I started watching True Blood On Demand from Season One last week, but I'm not sure it's for me.

I forgot about The League and True Blood. I watch those as well. Not religiously yet though.

I miss good scifi on TV.

A few worth watching if you ever have the time -

Babylon 5 - I'll admit the special effects were low budget but what made me love this show was the entire 5 year story arc was written before the first episode was ever shot. It added a dimension to the story telling that I had never seen before and not sure will ever see again. There were continual tie ins to previous seasons that were such a trip. Sure, a little cheesy at times and if you have only seen a few episodes or jumped in during season 3 or 4 you might be lost a little but again, a great overall story arc.

The new Battlestar Galactica - This fucking blew me away! I remember the cheesy 70's version from when I was little but the remake was awesome! A scifi show that your wife or GF has a great chance of enjoying. I loved the underlying religious themes in this show. Strong female roles in this show (which is why this is one of the few Sci fi shows that women like). Special effects a solid B. Story telling is a little disjointed at times. (Meaning when they started writing a season they didn't have a clue on how it was going to end.)

The Wire is amazing, but the title of this thread suggests, to me anyway, current shows. I would have had a completely different list if it was favorite shows of all time.

Yes I was listing current ones but if you notice I also listed some of my favorite past ones. So it is ok for you to list both.

Oh, I'm not questioning that it was an amazing show. I loved the first two or three seasons. It just kinda fell off in the last season. It's been a while since I saw it, so I guess it all kind of ran together for me. Lots of great characters though.

I need to catch up on that one. Apparently the venue I got married in was featured in an episode. It was the Georgetown Ballroom (they had to make their own kitchen or something like that).

Oh, America's Got Talent too. And Take It All was fun, speaking of Howie Mandell.

Somehow I missed this one until about 3 weeks ago. And I'm already on the start of season 3! Shit is good. I think we had all of season 1 on our DVR a few years ago, but never got around to watching before we moved. It took us canceling cable and a friends recommendation to finally get into it.
