I don't really watch many current shows, since all I watch are sports and movies. I do catch up with things On Demand, though. Mad Men Breaking Bad (did watch the last season live on AMC after buying the previous season on DVD) Sons of Anarchy (watched the last season live after catching up on Netflix) Louie Arrested Development Lost Walking Dead The League It's Always Sunny The Wire (only show I was actually a bit sad ended it's run with a finale, and my favorite TV show of all time) Family Guy Simpsons (prior to about 2002) I started watching True Blood On Demand from Season One last week, but I'm not sure it's for me.
I miss good scifi on TV. A few worth watching if you ever have the time - Babylon 5 - I'll admit the special effects were low budget but what made me love this show was the entire 5 year story arc was written before the first episode was ever shot. It added a dimension to the story telling that I had never seen before and not sure will ever see again. There were continual tie ins to previous seasons that were such a trip. Sure, a little cheesy at times and if you have only seen a few episodes or jumped in during season 3 or 4 you might be lost a little but again, a great overall story arc. The new Battlestar Galactica - This fucking blew me away! I remember the cheesy 70's version from when I was little but the remake was awesome! A scifi show that your wife or GF has a great chance of enjoying. I loved the underlying religious themes in this show. Strong female roles in this show (which is why this is one of the few Sci fi shows that women like). Special effects a solid B. Story telling is a little disjointed at times. (Meaning when they started writing a season they didn't have a clue on how it was going to end.)
The Wire is amazing, but the title of this thread suggests, to me anyway, current shows. I would have had a completely different list if it was favorite shows of all time.
Yes I was listing current ones but if you notice I also listed some of my favorite past ones. So it is ok for you to list both.
Currently, I don't keep up with any tv show. Past favorites: The Twilight Zone The Incredible Hulk MacGyver Star Trek The Next Generation Married With Children Beavis and Butthead Southpark
Current: Mad Men Breaking Bad Boardwalk Empire Workaholics The League Game of Thrones Modern Family Its Always Sunny (last two seasons were trash though) Past: Rescue Me The Sopranos Arrested Development News Radio Seinfeld Entourage The Office (with Michael) Lockup: Raw All time favorite show: Chappelle's Show
Current: Dexter Walking Dead How I Met Your Mother The Following (but kind of losing interest) Sons of Anarchy The Americans American Horror Story (2nd half of 2nd season was a chore) Community The Office (watching out the string, it's really faded) Survivor It's Always Sunny The League The Daily Show Random Crappy Reality TV that sucks me in on Sunday mornings after the NFL season Want to get into: Homeland Mad Men Breaking Bad Classic TV: The Sopranos 24 The Wire Seinfeld Entourage Friday Night Lights Chapelle Show Cheers Friends (but only for a couple seasons in the middle)
Oh, I'm not questioning that it was an amazing show. I loved the first two or three seasons. It just kinda fell off in the last season. It's been a while since I saw it, so I guess it all kind of ran together for me. Lots of great characters though.
Shows Currently on TV: Breaking Bad Sons of Anarchy Boardwalk Empire Dexter The Office Justified (just got into it, on Season 2) The Following Southland The Walking Dead Hell on Wheels (don't like it much, IDK why I watch it) Homeland Duck Dynasty Impractical Jokers American Horror Story Past: 24 (all time favorite) The Wire The Shield Rescue Me The Sopranos Game of Thrones (stopped after the 1st season) If there is nothing on, I'll watch re-runs of Criminal Minds, Law and Order: SVU
Heroes Terminator Sarah Connor chronicles Firefly Game of Thrones Dexter season 1 Most my favorite shoes get cancelled quick it seems. I haven't seen Dexters recent seasons; I'll have to netflix them when I get some time.

Farscape Firefly Stargate: SG1 Stargate: Atlantis Scientific American: Frontiers Nova Perry Mason Cheers! Monty Python's Flying Circus Doc Martin America's Test Kitchen
NBA/Blazers games Survivor American Idol Smash Modern Family occasionally I love South Park but I never know when the new seasons begin so I've missed a lot Cheers on Amazon Instant Video All My Children which was canceled in 2011 but is coming back online this spring Used to watch Bones when I was on it ;o)
I need to catch up on that one. Apparently the venue I got married in was featured in an episode. It was the Georgetown Ballroom (they had to make their own kitchen or something like that).
Star Trek (original) TJ Hooker Barbary Coast TekWar A few episodes of The Practice were good Boston Legal Weird or What 3rd Rock from the Sun (Big Giant Head episodes) Raw Nerve Mars Rising Rescue 911 $#*! My Dad Says And if I have to watch a commercial, the Priceline ones are the best.
Somehow I missed this one until about 3 weeks ago. And I'm already on the start of season 3! Shit is good. I think we had all of season 1 on our DVR a few years ago, but never got around to watching before we moved. It took us canceling cable and a friends recommendation to finally get into it.
