The problem with the athletic commissions remains, though. They allow a six-to-one ratio (6x the epitestosterone-to-testosterone of a normal athlete). So, who wouldn't boost up to that if they have the means? Until the famously obtuse AC's reduce the allowance the UFC's hands will be tied. The only way to combat it would be for the UFC to set stricter policies within the company and allow a maximum of say 1.5-to-1 and grant exceptions to men who are naturally outside the normal range. Then even if they pass the AC's limits the UFC can still come in and say they haven't passed theirs and suspend them.
Speaking of the AC's, major sports leagues modify and update their rules every year. What do the AC's have to gain by being so stubborn? Isn't it time they started looking at the rules and doing some long-needed housekeeping, especially the "downed opponent/3pt" rule, the "no kicking to the head from guard to fighter on top" rule, and the "no time allowed to recover from eye-pokes" rule?
