Sam Amico is reporting that the Raps and Sixers are discussing a deal that would involve Andrea Bargnani and Spencer Hawes, who is set to earn the remainder of $6.5-million this year and another $6.5-million next. The Seattle, Washington native is 24-years old and would be more expendable if Andrew Bynum wasn't injured. I'd be all over this deal if I could get some assurance from Casey that Valanciunas would still get 28-34 minutes.

Chicago is about $4-million over the tax and would really like us to take the Boozer trade. Don't see it happening.

Philly isn't in danger of going over the tax limit yet. They have about $6-million worth of wiggle room. They also have a TE of $1.73-million from Harkless. Hawes and that TE would satisfy the CBA in a deal for just Bargnani.

Makes little difference to us in terms of salary since we're over the cap now with Gay on the team.

LaVoy Allen has been starting ahead of Hawes. They'd be happy to dump Hawes and pick up a bench scorer like Bargs. Great deal for them.

For us? Gives us a half-decent big (upgrade over Gray) but not a great return on investment. Dunno if this is where we're at with Bargs. TBH I don't see him getting dealt but I may be wrong.

Realistically what can we expect for Bargs now? Boozer's definitely a much better player and I won't mind the deal if it goes down but he is much older and pretty bad defensively. His deal is the same length as Bargs but for much more money.

Hawes isn't great return obviously but his deal is only for one more year and almost half the cost. Maybe expand it to give them Ross for Turner? Turner is great at handling the ball can be a backup PG/SG?

Getting Turner in the deal would be a coup. Dunno if Philly is willing to move him.
