Hmm... interesting. I would think they could get more for Howard, but Rondo isn't a bad addition. Not sure how the knee injury will affect him, but he's definitely one of the best point guards in the league. I think Dwight is gone regardless.

Seems Crawford from the Wiz is available, Hickson and filler for Crawford? he has a cheap contract and good scorer off the bench

Crawford's given us fits; he'd be a good scorer off the bench. I'd give up Hickson and Barton and another non-Leonard contract.

I would be down for that! He's exactly the type of volume scorer we need off the bench. He's young and isn't afraid to score either!

I want o part of Crwarford. He is a high volume low % shooter. He will give you 20 but the downside is he will take 18 shots to get it.

The Los Angeles Clippers and Boston Celtics have had ongoing discussions about a trade that would send Eric Bledsoe and DeAndre Jordan for Kevin Garnett.

There is internal reluctance within both front offices on whether such a trade would make sense, according to sources.

Garnett would also have to waive his no-trade clause to accept a trade to the Clippers.

Garnett has a home in Malibu and is a close friend to Chauncey Billups, which is believed to make his approval a distinct possibility should a deal be reached.

The Clippers are increasingly confident that they will sign Chris Paul in the offseason, which has increased the odds of dealing Bledsoe.

ESPN reports that Vinny Del Negro is pushing for the trade, but that the Clippers' front office is against moving Bledsoe and Jordan for Garnett.

As long as *somebody* off our bench feels comfortable taking shots...

I don't get this trade for Clips unless they are really down on Jordan, dumb ass move IMO

It makes no sense to me either, but you have to be right. They must not think Jordan is worth his contract. And they must also think Garnet has two more years left after this at a decent level of play.

I think you guys are overrating Jordan...hes pretty crappy for what hes paid. Good rebounder and provides weakside help but his man defense is lacking, makes a lot of stupid mistakes, low bball IQ, no skill on offense. He got bumped down the rotation last year in the playoffs in favor of Kenyon Martin. He has to sit out during crunch time a lot just because he can't make a FT to save his life. I think the Clips regret giving him the big contract, and as a Warriors fan I think we dodged a bullet when LAC matched our offer for him.

No way in hell he gets a near-max deal after this one. I think he'll get paid less, in fact (though a big season in his contract year could help his cause).

This trade would make the Clips instant contenders, though somewhat lacking in size. Boston is kind of screwed because KG won't waive his no trade clause and there's limited options for where you can send him. Bledsoe is getting a lot of hype, and hes a nice prospect, but I think he's being pimped a little too much. He didn't do too well running the show when CP3 was out, no? Hes talented as hell but kind of reminds me of the Monta Ellis-at-PG experiments GS used to try to make work.

it's surprising that Deandre Jordan only plays 25 MPG, 9 pts and over seven rebs per game. 10 mil next yt and 11 mil the year after

I agree that Bledsoe probably isn't as good as people think he is, but if they could get Bledsoe that would make Rondo expendable and they could trade him for D12. That's not a bad move.

Their options are limited trying to do a quick re-build in the position that they're in, so yes its not bad. You're not going to get a better return on Rondo than Howard. I don't really believe in a team with Bledsoe/Bradley running the show. Those are nice pieces and if Dwight returns to form, he's great, but it still seems like they're a big piece or two away from contending.

I suppose this scenario is pretty much their best option. Just don't know what the plan is after that as far as trying to win more rings.

This reminds me when Boston did the same trades to get Allen, kg and the pick that got them rondo. I think this is actually a good move, IMO.
