Monroe has a DRtg of 102, Aldridge has a DRtg of 107.

Monroe has 2.5 DWS, while Aldridge has 1.7 DWS.

 

It's funny because reading Detroit blogs you see people calling out his defense

Drtg is also a stat based on the teammates around you and is no way an individual statistic

 

Thought you said Monroe is a better defender than Aldridge? Aldridge is 7 drtg higher

 

If you watched Detriot you wouldn't say he was a good defender. I catch there games now and then and he is about as good as hickson, just stares at people as they make a layup and is horrible on rotation defense. The stats might say he is a good defender but he doesn't hold up to the eye test at all.

 

I like the idea of there lottery pick combined with ours which is the reason i'd do it if they started to really tank. Two chances at Zeller to replace LA, i'd look to move Monroe immediately.

You are looking for the smaller number in drtg. It is the estimate of points allowed per 100 possessions.

I've watched quite a few of the Pistons games as well. I disagree with you and so does the raw data in terms of advanced statistics. Everybody always likes to poo-poo on advanced stats when it doesn't backup their original argument.
