Democrats talk a slightly better game on civil liberty issues. In theory at least, in practice there is virtually no difference between the two parties.
Republicans talk a better game about spending less. But when they become President, the Republican spends like a drunken sailor, and the Democrat scraps to patch up the damage done by his Republican predecessor.
How do they explain changes in party over a lifetime? I used to be a liberal, but when faced with evidence of the lack of efficacy the policies I supported, I changed to being conservative/libertarian.
