Ray Allen and KG didn't go ring chasing. They were traded. Theyhad no say in the matter.

Considering it's likely Kobe is on some kind of PED right now, I would do it.

if Magic gets to play with Worthy/Kareem and MJ gets to play with Pippen, and Kobe gets to play with Shaq, why doesn't LeBron get to play with Wade?

The difference between Kobe and Jordan is at the end of the game, you WANT Kobe jacking up bad shots. You NEVER wanted the ball in Jordan's hands at the end of a game.

Oh one year off doesnt mean shit. 17 years in the league is still epically long. He is only 34, but hes had 38 years of wear and tear on his body. Even now, ive noticed his game is dropping significantly on the offensive end.

Because trading for someone that doesn't want to be on your team is disruptive. Obviously the talent changing hands would be ridiculously unbalanced, and yes Kobe is the one of the best players in the history of the game, but why trade for someone that won't help your team?

Well because it wouldn't work cap wise. Kobe will be making 30 million next season. He has a no trade clause in his contract as well. But let's assume Kobe says "yeah trade me to pdx". Matthews will make 8 million and hickson possible 8-9 million. So let's just factor it's 16-17 million. Our cap space left over is 13 million; which is around 19-20 million. So we would need to add an additional 10 million just to make it work. So who do we have left that makes that amount? Or combo players? By the time it's all said and done we may only have Lillard, Kobe and Aldridge and the same shitty bench.

This doesn't scream contention to me. Sorry...

Have you ever been to Cleveland? Can you even imagine a scenario where someone who is at the top of his industry and living in Miami would choose to move to Cleveland?
