We should never have released him.

Did we release him? I thought we just didn't resign him.

His rookie contract expired so we didn't "release him."

So what do you think, we probably should have thrown a max contract at him right?

I think that people who were dancing at center court the day we drafted him will actively root for him to injure himself again so that they can lie and say they knew it all along that he would be a bust and we should have drafted Durant.

Yeah I feel ya. I doubt oden even agrees to stay; even if we wanted him to anyway. I think we released to get the cap hold off our cap for the hibbert offer.

Been saying it for a while. No reason to sign a contract now, rush yourself back (relative term with Oden) and just hurt ones self when most likely the team you are going to isn't making playoffs anyways.

I think CLE makes sense for him but he should wait until summer to sign.

It would be so nice if he came back to PDX. I think the fan base would welcome him with open arms.

Why? Why would you want to go through that again?

I honked once, I will never honk again.

Cause we don't have a center. I doubt he gets anything above 4-5 mil per

I had a dream last night that Oden returned to the Blazers. He looked uber athletic, but every time he went to dunk the ball he back rimmed the dunk and it would carom out to the 3 point line. Then some hot chicks showed up and I can't remember the rest cause at that point I didn't really care about Oden anymore.

That was my thought, too. That there is no way that he'll pass a team physical right now, so his agent will try to spin it as waiting for more options and being selective instead of letting the NBA know he still is nowhere close to being healthy.

If he signs now, it'll make news. If he doesn't sign during the Summer, his name will go away and no one will care.
