Just curious if anyone believes in ghosts, aliens, bigfoot, shadow people, et cetera? Bonus if you do, are you christian or not christian?
I'll start saying I'm an atheist, but I still get nervous around ghostly situations and know it's irrational. I think there is extra terrestrial life, but not the kind that visits us. that's about it for me!
There is more than the 3-dimensional physical universe. I can speculate about higher dimensions, and I have plenty of ideas, but I'm content to let the scientific method take centuries or more to pull out the truth. In contrast, religion demands firm answers now, and pretends its speculations are incontrovertible.

Naah, physical means space-time. Dimensions above that, I speculate are mental or spiritual. The brain is the physical antenna perceiving them. A 1-D line, viewed edge-on, gives an illusion of being 0-D. Similarly, a 3-D space viewed obliquely in a higher dimension might be seen as a 0-D point. The Theory of Relativity is all about your frame of reference determining your reality. On and on for a 10-hour trip. Okay, there's your tiny sample of what an acid trip's like.
Ghosts, no Shadow people, no fucking clue Bigfoot, most likely not around currently but I did used to exist according to fossil record as little as 100,000 years ago as the Gigantopithecus blacki. Since fossil record is incomplete, I find it plausible that it existed more recently as some who study cave paintings theorize, around 13,000 years ago. I do find it possible but not likely some large undiscovered bipedal ape is out there. Aliens - I have no idea, but considering how little of the universe we have seen, I think it's more likely that there does exist life elsewhere that we are unique. Flying mystic penises, I believe in them completely. Angels, fuck to the no.
Anything you can imagine exists in the mental world, because imagination consists of perceiving that higher-D world, full of its own weird 3-D spaces. Alternate histories, dragons, abodes of the afterlife...the whole works will slowly be deciphered by science. Meanwhile I go to the lonely cemetery to talk to my parents.
