This deal makes no sense unless a long term deal is going out

RT @windhorstespn: The Blazers will use an exception to take Eric Maynor, likely sending a pick to OKC.

Why is that? Maynor's contract can either end this year or be extended to next year with qualifying offer from what it looks like.

backup young PG for next to nothing. Why does it make no sense? Get a good look at potential future piece.

If it is just a 2nd then it is a steal.

Really? He is a good player but he isn't magically going to make us win 4-plus more games.

Nice! Now we can cut back ALL starter minutes to 30 and still put a decent product on the floor. And lose. And retain our draft pick.

Portland will have to waive someone unless Hickson goes in a deal

There have been a number of losses where a few quality minutes from someone other than Nolan Smith or Ronnie Price might well have meant victory for Portland - the Cleveland debacle chief among them.

Eric Maynor? I can get down for that. Nice little backup PG to have and Im sure will be much better than Price/Smith. If it is for a first round pick, though, then it sucks.
