Now that we have another option at PG, I hope that Nolan's game starts showing signs of life while playing the 2. He played well temporarily in summer league before getting injured.
Nolan would move out of PG only if Maynor took some of his minutes plus all of Price's minutes. Price averaged 13.1 minutes with us. Maynor with OKC was 10.6 this season and 15.2 last season. With no substantial difference between Price and Maynor time, it takes no minutes away from Nolan. Also, no minutes are added at SG because we didn't trade one away. I see no change for Nolan.
when you don't play any minutes, it doesn't average in the 0. Ronnie's only played in 39 of the 54 games. Nolan's only played in 30. Look at it this way: there have been 758 minutes of these guys on the court, or roughly 13 mpg. 9.5 of those are minutes that Lillard is on the bench. Maynor will probably take each and every one of those. So yes, I see Nolan either playing exclusively SG or getting zero run. Which would be a change.
he can be a bookend for Babbitt, a shooter who can't make shots, let's just cut him and do some 10-day call ups from Dleague
He can attack fine, now only if he could dish. If he would make the extra pass more often maybe his shot would go down more often as well.
Stotts never played Nolan and Price in the same game for the most part. They rotated back and forth on the inactive list
