....that you just can't explain? Here's your chance to make people think you're a wacko. I know I can't be the only one that's seen something inexplicable. (And, I understand that I don't have to admit anything like that for people to think I'm a wacko.) I don't have time to write up my experiences, but I'll post at least one of them later. Go Blazers
I will admit, I assume you had some kind of misunderstanding or hallucination. But I still want to hear your experience and will find it very fascinating!
One time I saw these little sparkles of light. I think they're called stars but don't quote me on that.
one time when I was like 12 my friend and I were sleeping outside on a trampoline and I saw his face lit up in a blue-ish color. I looked behind me and it was a streaking blue almost meteorite looking deal. Same size as some of those russia videos from the other thread. does that count?
same here, and i've been an on/off again amateur astronomer for decades. my grown son does say that he once saw what looked like a normal satellite light slowly traversing the sky turn at an abrupt 90 degree angle and continue on at the same speed in a different direction. not sure what to make of that.
Neil DeGrasse Tyson tells the story of when there's a power outage in L.A., the police and astronomers get calls from people claiming they're seeing unidentified flying objects. They're actually just seeing the stars which are normally obscured by the glow of the street lights.

Nothing in the night sky, but one time when I was backpacking through the Kalmiopsis wilderness in Southern Oregon, just after dusk one night, I saw a "light" moving through the woods on the opposite side of a canyon -- was moving too fast and too smoothly to be a person with a flashlight -- went up and over the ridge and disappeared. I still have no logical explanation for what it was.
Something happened to me last Thursday when I was driving home. I had a couple of miles to go - I looked up and saw a glowing orange object in the sky, to the east! It was moving very irregularly... suddenly there was intense light all around me - and when I came to, I was home. What do you think happened to me?
In the summer of ’69 (hey, someone should write a song about that), I was fishing on the North Umpqua. Directly across the river was a smallish hill, maybe 500’ higher than where I stood. It was about 8:00 on a summer evening, just barely starting to move toward twilight, but still quite bright out. I had been fishing for about an hour when I made a cast, and when I looked up, there was a very bright light above the hill. I mean well above the hill, like several thousand feet up. It was odd, because it wasn’t there before I casted, and it was still too bright out for a star to be shining that brightly. I watched the light while I fished for about 20 minutes while it remained in exactly the same position in the sky. I could tell it stayed in the same place because of the reference of it being directly above the peak of the hill across the river. While I was looking directly at the light, it suddenly streaked to the horizon to the NW. I’d estimate that I could see about 30 miles to the horizon where it went out of sight. The light went from a dead stop, for about 20 minutes, to out of sight over the horizon in about two seconds. It didn’t make a sound the whole time. One of the strangest things I ever saw. Go Blazers
