Nobody got burnt to a crisp? Nobody even died from a smashed-in head?

In my day someone got killed on a racetrack every major race. You punks disgust me.

This is the one popular sport who's appeal I just don't get.

I've seen stuff about how hard they have to work out and how much energy they expend during the course of a race, so I definitely respect NASCAR more than I used to, but still would never watch it by choice.

I get why people would go to a NASCAR event, but I don't get the people who watch it on tv. I'm in the part of the country where there are a lot of races, so I've been to some over the years, and it's a whole nother experience being there live. Watching NASCAR on tv still makes no sense to me though. I don't understand how they get the ratings they do.

It's like hockey to me. I never thought I'd like watching hockey, but there's a minor league team outside of Memphis, in north Mississippi, and after catching a few games down there, I'd say that's probably one of the most fun sports to watch live.

Agree. I went to WinterHawks games 20 years before I got to a Blazer game.

Amazing that nobody died from that tire.
