UGH! This sucks! Good luck HCP! Keep looking at your NEP tattoo to help remind you why you like living in NE Portland and live in an old house.
I hate you...... Obviously I could sell my house in this great neighborhood and by a McMansion in the 'burbs with new plumbing and 2 more bathrooms. Just cant do it though.
I actually work Facilities for one of the larger School Districts in Oregon. We use River City Enviornmental for work such as this. You can find their website at Rivercityusa.com Really good company, reasonable rates. They have the ability to do all the work needed, regardless of wether it's excavation, or just cleaning out the line. They're local, located off of 102nd and Sandy, a pretty solid guys that I'd recommend.
Ya, it probably shows you that he works hard and has a life. Unlike THE someone who has 25,000 posts!!!
Great fucking point. Maybe I need to start being nice to the rooks and start blasting anybody over 10K posts! I have seen the light........ The HCP has seen the light!
HAAAAAA! Who am I joking. I'd rather tell this rookie to fuck off and live with a busted sewer and shower with a hose in the backyard in 40 degree weather then listen to his expert advice! Whew...... that was close.....THE HCP IS BACK MOTHAFUCKAS! #gangsta'
Are you sure your sewer is broken? It may very well be clogged. You may simply need a stronger sewer cutter wheel. If your house is from the 20s, you have sections of clay pipe connected with okum which has dissolved after years underground. The roots find the wet parts of the sewer at the joints and infiltrate the pipe. As long as your pipe hasn't collapsed, it should be able to be cleared with a cutter. After your sewer is cleared, hire a drain inspection company to send a camera down and visualize your pipe. If it can't be cleared, it may have collapsed. Unfortunately, it's a big money repair as the sewer has to be excavated from your house to the sewer main (which I assume is under the street). Best of luck. I'll ask my handyman who he prefers to us.
to add a little hope, my place was built in the 60s and the city is on the hook for the replacement from house to sewer
I'm diasappointed you haven't hired me yet. You want to come see my work at her house? She's single, too. She finished the husband after me years ago, long since ready for the next one. Come see my cool ditch! The neighbor moved out a few months after I did it, so you'll hear no complaints.
YES! City was out this morning marking all the pipes and locating everything for the 2 companies giving me bids. Probably make a decision tomorrow on who is doing it. Both guys said they would frontload our job because of our situation. Wife and kids are staying with the in-laws and I am going to my nextdoor neighbors whenever I have to piss! Just picked up some extra work right as the NBA season ends. Was planning on taking a nice 5 or 6 day break after the last game in April......... gotta make some extra cash now FAMS!
I can't even begin to tell you how disappointed I am that not one word of this post is a euphemism...
