There will be no bad talk about Kevin Duckworth. It should really be in the rules of the forum

I loved Duckworth. I hated when Divac kept punching the ball out of his hands when Duckworth tried backing him down.

Thats more of a sideways move then anything. If we traded LA for Horford its not going to get me excited or depressed itll be a big pile of meh. Horford wont be able to make up for Hicksons shitty D anymore then LA can.

Honestly, if you aren't upgrading to a defensive center, it is a backwards move because they know it has to be done

    LMA for Horford!

BTW, Nate didn't think this one through...

With Howard there aren't many that would fit in better with him than Horford with his high-post game.

ATL would keep Smith over Horford? Nope. Not gonna happen.

If Howard signed with ATL; Horford would just slip down to PF. I would consider a LMA for Horford trade if we got another asset in addition to Horford. Jeremy Tyler please!! Or maybe Jenkins.
Unfortunately, it doesn't make us much better. More of a sideways move. Non-needle mover!

Absolutely it is. Horford has proven more in this league being the #1 guy on his team.

He's got the same PER, a much better defender, better WS, better DWS, has a lower USG rating, better ORtg, way better eFG% and is a year younger.

    Absolutely its a good idea.

    Horford > LMA

    It's true.

Though, I'm still in favor of a 3-teamer that sends LMA out and brings DMC in.

Horford is actually one player I wouldn't be pissed trading for straight up. He's actually pretty good man!

And this is why the Blazers haven't been out of the 1st round in 13 years.

    13 YEARS.

Yeah, how has that "addition by subtraction" bullshit worked out for Portland? Last high scoring PF they traded out of here to make room for the "young" guy...and that PF has made it out of the playoffs and done quite well actually.

"Yeah, let's make a trade that is basically a wash..just for the sake of doing it!" success!

As long as LMA is the #1 guy the cycle of being bounced will continue.

But, an "LMA team" has yet to make the playoffs.

people said that about ZBO too. Black hole on offense.

Just get a starting center and a bench and we'll be fine.

So our problem is that our PF isn't marquee enough to be a go to guy...so let's get a guy who scores 5ppg less than he does to be our go to guy. GREAT PLAN!
