If he can get past Gil Melendez in April, Ben Henderson has his sights set on Georges St-Pierre at welterweight. In semi-related news, Anderson Silva would agree to fight Jon Jones at 192-lbs. That's not even half way. Pretty sure he didn't fight James Irvin, Forrest Griffin, or Stephan Bonnar at catch-weight.
Why not 205 and make it for the belt? Dude has dominated at that weight class, too. Kind of crazy that with the exception of Johnson, GSP, and Velasquez, all of the current champions could move up a class in the near future.
Well basically he said that both Bendo and GSP have guys queued up for title shots and if Bendo is serious he would have to go to WW permanently, not for a superfight.
I think we're at a point where he needs to make these super fights happen, even if they aren't for the title in that weight class. Bendo/GSP, GSP/Silva, Silva/Jones, Aldo/Bendo, etc... these fights need to be made for the fan's sake. As for Silva wanting a catch weight, I think he might feel that the other opponents he's faced at 205 weren't exactly top caliber opponents and he could sort of half ass his way through a training camp. For Jones, I'm sure he'd want a full dedicated training camp and maybe he thinks Jones may be a little weaker having to cut an extra 10 lbs? Personally, I'm not even interested in the fight. I think Jones will just take him down and wrestlefuck him.
