...but what does that even mean? Do you always disregard everything in the old testament? If so, then how does that make the new testament relevant?

If a Democrat had blown $141.5 million of his own money ($50 per voter) on buying a governorship, then lost as badly as anyone can, she'd be laughed out of the state. The media would make her disappear like a Gary Hart or Al Gore (who won, yet is treated as a joke). But a Republican did it, so Hewlitt Packard jumped at the opportunity to annoint her their President.

Her motive is the same as the intelligence agencies which push gay marriage--to make gays settle down into sedentary conservative lives instead of being wild and free. While liberal heteros are pushing back the limitations of marriage, gays are suckering for a structured life in the suburbs.

As usual, wrong. The president doesn't enact legislation.
I don't know if marriage can be legalized nationally - honestly don't know - but I think (anyone with more legal knowledge than I have may confirm) that marriage laws are governed by states and that states have always recognized one another's marriaged. Until same sex couples began to marry. DOMA does not actually outlaw same sex marriage, it says the federal government won't recognize such marriages. Yes, Congress can repeal. Would more conservatives vote to do so?

I think Democrats could do a lot more for equality. One of many reasons I am not a Democrat. And I still don't know who called Obama a hero of the LGBT movement?

I don't see how one state can not recognize a marriage performed in another state. Or another country for that matter.

    Article IV, Section 2 reads:
The court's interpretation can be found here:

I'm so tired of this being an issue and it doesn't even directly affect me. It must be freaking maddening to those actually affected by this bigotry. The only rule should be, all parties must be of age and must consent. That's it. Gay, go for it. Mormon, go for it. Polyamorous, go for it. In love with Rush Limbaugh, go for it. None of that works for me, but whatevs. I'm not you, your not me, thank fucking &^^%$#.

May I say I agree with God even though I'm an atheist?
