If the media's going to make fun of him for it, if I were him, I'd call my lawyer and end this ridiculous financial arrangement. "From now on, send my paycheck to me!"
I actually think this is a good thing. To make fun of a player taking steps to make sure he will be financially secure in the future when so many athletes end up broke is just childish.
As long as his dad is trust worthy with the money, which I'm guessing he is. So many times it seems it's their "manager" who convinces them into horrible financial decisions.
lmfao @ "sit in the car and drink it" His dad had a long career and I believe still works as an analyst/radio show host for LAL/LA area. Hes not needing for money and he has no reason to fuck his son over. Sounds like hes setting up a variety of investments that will have KT set for life once his career is over.
Let them make fun all they want. Something tells me Klay Thompson, with >$50 million in the bank when he retires in his early 30s, will end up getting the last laugh. BNM
All of this. Let's face it, if Klay really wanted full control of his money, there isn't a court in the world that wouldn't give it to him. I'm not sure if I like the idea of Daddy docking a grown man's "allowance," but I guess that's the relationship he has with his parents, so it's none of my business.
I like it. Better than being another Antoine Walker. Kind of sucks for him, but he's famous, girls will sleep with him and he won't have to spend a dime anyway. That should be the real lesson here, folks.
That's the problem; so much of everything isn't anyone's business... yet here we all are, gossiping about someone like busybody neighbors peeking over the fence.
