Oh Christ he's a PF?!?!?! The league is stacked with PFs that are quick. I thought him at center would be a little better because they are much slower. So he needs to play at the PF pace? Good luck Freeland!
There are plenty of slow PFs (especially backup ones). But really we don't know what we have in Freeland because we don't have the time to find out. Next year we may have the time. But really that depends on this off-season.
Mags I don't want him developed at center, I want him playing PF. There is a good chance JJ will be gone next year so we do need a center, but we will also need a PF. I think Freeland can give us 15-17 minutes a game at PF. He is 6'10" and 225 lbs. I think along with a stretch 4, (Maybe Babbitt or Claver) he can fill that role.
Freeland is not slow by any means. Did you see him run the court in the Olympics? Against the US? Now I realize speed and quickness are two different things, but he is quick enough to guard most PF's in this league. And for those he can't guard, then you play Claver. (or some other stretch 4)
No shutting any player down until they have insured fucking up thier draft pick (ie giving it to Charlotte)....and still miss the playoffs....
He's listed as 6'10" on draft express, I think that's what they said he was when he was still in Europe.
Yeah I don't think Nic has a broken wrist. Something was lost in translation. Maybe he meant to say "sometimes it feels like it is broken" He looked fine tonight.
My whole point was that his listed height is wrong. Eyeball it yourselves and decide. I say he's taller than Aldridge.
No doubt the nattering ninnies took whatever statement Nico made too literally. Even if he said: 'My wrist is broken', the French very commonly use the term "casse" (broken) figuratively rather than literally.
