After months of speculation and rumors of retirement, Doug Christie has officially announced his intentions of returning to play in the NBA. Spending months undergoing intense rehabilitation and conditioning has put Christie in fantastic shape and made him eager to join an NBA team at their 2006 training camp. During a recent interview, Christie commented that, ?I am blesssed to now have gained endurance, agility and quickness at a level that I had not previously experienced.? Press Release

Even though I think it's great that he is in fantastic shape and ready to play again, I think he should have retired. I don't really see him being as good a player as he was before.

He'll quit within the first week of season and rake in a million. The Suns could sign him.

I always liked Christie and hope he returns, but I don't think he can last ba season, except maybe on a deep team at the end of the bench with very limited minutes.

Hey man, I'd take him. If I were a team, I wouldn't mind getting Christie's experience, defense, and tough competitive edge. If he asks for anything more then the veteran minimum, they maybe I'd think twice about signing him.

That was the same thought Mavs fans had last year, he's done as a player. He lost his quickness, therefore making his defense sub-par at best and caused within the first week of the season, lockeroom issues that led to his release.

He may just latch on to a winning team and be apart of their IR or something. The dude has nothing left. I doubt he signs more than a 1 year deal for the minimum with a team.

He wouldn't have to worry about the dress code....I'd like to sign him, but Detroit has no room for him. He can still play defense and could be a key role player. I still think he can play.
