Do you celebrate this? I was in Chi-town last year, it fucking rocked my world. This year its on a Sunday....do you get your drink on, on the Saturday or sunday itself? there's a pub crawl on saturday here in LA i might do. :MARIS61:
My Birthday is on St. Patrick's Day (yes every year - people ask me that believe it or not) but I don't really have plans yet. I have had some fun through out the years on this day, no doubt. Must be getting old though. Probably will just go for 1 drink and watch March Madness.
born and raised in chicago, with the green river, and the south side parade(better of the two). Not irish, and no longer trying to find reasons to drink excessively early on, so don't really care about it.
My b-day is the 4th of July, and I've been asked that too. "Is it your birthday every year"? Um, yeah.
Oh, March Madness is late this year then! Last few years the games have been going on during my Birthday celebration.
Running in the 8K Shamrock Run in Portland in the morning. My birthday is the next day so we're staying up in Portland Sunday night and will most likely drink like fishes.
My late father was born on St. Patrick's Day. I hook up with my two brothers and their wives, and we all go out and hoist a few in memory of Super Suds (my dad's CB handle) and his wife Tiny Bubbles. Irish Car Bombs and thick stews are usually involved in some form or another. I usually take the 17th and 18th off. If the hangovers keep hurting more and more, I may have to start taking the 19th off, too, lol...
Everybody should have a St. Patrick's Day in Chicago before they die (or for some, that may be their last day). What an experience.
yeah, last year it was 80 degrees in March. On a Saturday. So fucking CRAZY. didn't even make it out of the 3rd bar...we were there from like 1pm-10:30pm drinking. wish I took more vid now...but whatevez
I'll be back down in New Orleans for all that crazy partying. Yano what sets that city aside for large public parties? No open container laws. Best believe I'll be rolling with some open drinks down the street all day.
